Message Sunlight heats up cars by both heating the outside, which is conducted in, and penetrating through windows to directly heat the interior parts of the car. Tint interrupts the second mode. Higher end tints are designed to reflect infrared light which does most of the heating. There is an amount of light absorbed by the tint as heat, which is then radiated evenly in to the car and back out.
